My Colourpop Collection

Happy Valentines Day! Today I want to share the newest love in my life. I can't even lie. I am so head over heels for Colourpop, it's not even funny. My husband is probably so sick of hearing me talk about the new shades I'm eyeing and new launches, but I can't help it, they are AMAZING!!

I first found out about these little gems from Kathleen Lights. If you are a Youtube junkie, you may know who she is. She is my most favorite beauty Vlogger. She posted a video swatching and talking about her favorites, so I had to go check them out. I ended up placing a $30 order for I think it was 6 shadows and 3 lipsticks. I can't really recall. But anyways, after that I was hooked! I love how beautifully they apply both the lip and eye products. The best part is they are so cheap for the quality and they last all day!

Here are some swatches and what I feel the colors look like on my skin tone.

Mixed Tape- greyish lilac
Central Perk- Burgundy plum
Mittens- Brownish deep purple
Flutes- Mustardy yellow brown
Elixir- True orange
Muse- cranberry rose gold
Weenie-  pink rose gold

This is the Love a Flare collection. I got this set on sale and it is still in stock, but I believe it may get discontinued soon. You can also find each of these shade individually.

Head Rush- Olive green
High Rise- Deep hunter green
By My Side- Peachy pink
Moonwalk- Sheer orangey green
Melrose- Rusty orange
I Spy- peach

These next few some have been discontinued. However I have noticed that Colourpop discontinues items sometimes, but brings them back for a holiday or a special promo.

Wattles- baby pink
So Quiche- Sparkly golden olive (my fave)
Most Necessary- light orange pink with some shimmer (this is actually a blush)
Party Time- deep greyish purple
Flower Shop- teal

This was their holiday collection which is also no longer available, but as I said some shades come back. Since this is a holiday line most of these contain glitter flecks.

Strapped- pinkish silver (this is a highlighter)
Tinsel- light purple with flecks of pink and silver glitter
Thirsty Girl- golden brown with flecks of multi colored glitter
Patchwork-dark blue with flecks of pink and teal glitter
Koosh- Silvery white with hints of pink glitter
Desert- peachy tan (part of their regular line as well.)

I absolutely love these little pods. It makes it so easy for me to just apply with my finger when I am in a hurry to get out the door, but still look decent. They come in these individual little jars so the formula does not dry out. I have nothing like these in any of my makeup collection. The colors are all uniquely gorgeous. If you do pick some up I will warn you that you will be hooked!

I am in love with their Lippie Stix. They apply so effortlessly. I usually carry one with me in my purse or diaper bag. I have 2 different finishes the Matte X and the Creme. Matte X stays on the lips for a lot longer than the creme. I can usually wear it through a meal without having to reaply. Creme you do have to reapply if you eat or drink something. My favorite shade is Aquarius. I can wear it with pretty much any look. I guess it's my safe shade.

From left to right: Konichiwa- pinky rose
Aquarius- nude pink
Pillow Talk- light pale brown
Chateau- Deep burgundy

These are their liquid lipsticks. In these I have the Satin and Matte finishes. They also have Glossy and metallic finishes. I personally prefer the Satin lip because although I tend to have to reapply more often the formula looks nice and not flakey. The Matte lip tends to flake off and make my lips dry. If I reapply too much it becomes a total mess on my lips.

Some of these are from the holiday line so I am so sorry if you can't get your hands on them right now.

From left to right: Satin Finish
Wink- cranberry pink
Bijou- light purple (my favorite! not as crazy as it may seem)
Point Zero: light brown
Jiffy: nude pink

Matte finish
Embellish: dark brown
Wild Nothing- reddish peachy brown
Bumble: pinky warm rose

Here you can see how they look once they have dried a few minutes. The matte formula dries down really well. I like it, it's just a shame they crack and flake after a few applications however I found that my Kylie cosmetics ones do too.

I can't rave enough about this makeup line. If you have never tried it, I really recommend them. They are at drugstore pricing with high end quality. They recently launched their pressed shadow which are also beautiful. I really want to place another order soon to share with you.
Let me know how you feel about Colourpop in the comments below. Have you tried them? What shades do you recommend!?

  3. I've heard so many great things about Colourpop, but I have yet to place an order. Granted, I am on a no-buy right now (and have been for a while) so I ain't going to order any time soon, but they're definitely a brand I want to try eventually. I love the colours your have, both for eyes and lips. They're definitely all colours I would use as well.
