Elf Cosmetics VoxBox

With all the chaos of the holidays I kept forgetting to write a quick review about these products that were sent to me by Influenster and e.l.f. to try out for free. All opinions are my own.
Con todo el caos de las fiestas me olvidé de escribir una reseña rápida sobre estos productos que me fueron enviados por Influenster y e.l.f. para probar de forma gratuita pero todas las opiniones son propias.

Wednesday

19 Months and Counting

The time has come to give you a Josiah update! My little man is a whopping 19 months people. Where the heck did time go!? I feel like just yesterday I held those curly feet for the first time, yet here we are straight little feet that drive me crazy every day.

Tuesday

Catch up with me again

Since I had not written a post since Thanksgiving I wanted to drop a few lines to let you know what's been going on around here.

Thursday

Happy Thanksgiving

Today is the final post in my Thankful through Thanksgiving series. I hope you enjoyed all the posts from this series. The day has finally come where we gather around the table with those we love, indulge in so much delicious food, and snuggle close to that special someone while watching early Christmas movies. Happy Thanksgiving!

Wednesday

Faith and Marriage

Thankful through Thanksgiving is still not over and today I so happy to be featuring one of the very first blogs I started following. LaVonne is such an inspiring woman in my life. She is a momma and wife of a pastor. She is so positive and encouraging. I asked her if she could give is some guidance in faith and marriage. Hope you enjoy!

Tuesday

Happy 4th Birthday Eli

Do you ever notice how in the blink of an eye your kids are grown? Eli turns 4 years old today and I feel ever so blessed to call him mine, but I wish so badly I could relive each magical memory with him. He is such a special little boy that each and every day I thank God for choosing me to be his momma.

Friday

Apple Crispers

It is officially 6 days from Thanksgiving Day!!! 🙌 I don't know about you, but literally can not wait! I will be hosting my own Thanksgiving this year and I needed a little help with a dessert recipe. So I asked my lovely friend Brittany from Everyday Thoughts to come up with one for me to share with all of you! I can't wait to try this!

Wednesday

Thankful Tree

It seems that after Halloween people nowadays just skip right to Christmas. I actually strongly dislike that. Thanksgiving is such a beautiful holiday that should be very celebrated, not just for the food, but for all of our blessings.

Friday

Autumn Fashion

This week has been filled with so much chaos following the election and new props passing around the country. I know you must be over all this type of talk, so today I have asked my friend Sarabeth to take over and give you some fall wardrobe inspiration!

Tuesday

Holiday Beauty

The holidays are upon us and I don't know about you, but I can never figure out what to wear or how to do my makeup! So for today's Thankful through Thanksgiving series post I have asked the lovely and talented Jasmine to share a beautiful makeup look with us today.

Thursday

Ariana's Story

Today's post is written by a fellow Clubfoot Momma, Mirtha! I am so excited to share Ariana's story with you. I hope you find her as inspiring as I do.

Tuesday

Gratitude Jar

November is my favorite month of the year. The anticipation for Thanksgiving just makes me happy. I feel like Thanksgiving is the only holiday where we don't have to buy something for anyone and just enjoy delicious food and the company of loved ones. Pure bliss in my book!

Monday

Master Palette by Mario

I have had the Master Palette now for a week, so I have had the opportunity to give it some good use to be able to bring you my honest review on how I feel about it. This is not a sponsored post, so all opinions are my own and I was not paid to review it.

Friday

Pregnancy Loss Awareness

It has been 2 years since that little life left my body. In those 2 years I have thought about that little life every day. Sometimes in the morning while I drink my coffee and watch my kids play. Sometimes it's at night when I rock Josiah to sleep. Whatever the way it's been everyday.

Tuesday

Mom Time

Today I want to share something very real with you. Something that may get swept under the rug frequently and forgiven often. Something we are entitled to because we are raising humans.
MOM TIME. If you can't remember the last time you took some, you are probably not taking enough.

Friday

Friday Favorites

It's Friday and I have decided on sharing my list of favorite as of lately!

Es Viernes Y quiero compartir mi lista de cosas favoritas últimamente!

Monday

Fall Fancy ft. Jord

This post was sponsored by Jord Watches all opinions are my own.

We are officially into the first days of Fall! I'm sorry for all you summer lovers out there, but Fall is my absolute favorite season of all. I love the leaves falling on the ground. The warm sweaters, scarves and boots! The fall scented candles. I used to love all things pumpkin, but for some reason this year pumpkin and I are not vibing. If you are a huge fan of the pumpkin lattes I am sorry, but I ordered one last week and could not even drink half. Oh well, maybe next year.

Thursday

Catch up with Josiah

It's been awhile since I updated you on Josiah's progress so today I am focusing all your attention on him. On the 10th of this month Josiah turned 16 months. He is such a happy boy and a true joy to be around. Although he is getting into absolutely everything he is not supposed to, somehow I can never be mad for more than a minute.

Friday

5 ways to Save Money on School Clothes

I realize in most areas kids are already back in school. Summer is hanging on by a thread and so are most parents wallets with all the money they spent to buy new clothes. Well guess what.... This year we spent a total of $10 on back to school clothes. My wallet is not suffering and my kid looks pretty awesome most days ( I say most because some days he dresses himself.) So to find out my secret just keep reading.

Tuesday

6 Feel Good Mommy Essentials

This is a sponsored campaign written by me on behalf of Dove Advanced Care Antiperspirant and WeAllGrow Latina. However, all opinions expressed are my own.

Mothers of multiples are always on the go. Either we are taking kids to school, going on playdates, running after toddlers, making a trip to the grocery store, I mean really the task list is endless. At least for me it is. With everything I have going on taking care of all the people in my life, I tend to forget to take care of myself. I hate to admit that, but it is very true. There are days I don't eat right. Days I forget if I washed my hair in the shower. Days I double check if all my kids are home or if I forgot one (not really, but I still check). With all the hustle and bustle of my day I have promised that my essentials list is something I would never allow myself to forget. It's my way of making sure I'm taking care of myself at least where it matters.

Friday

Dear Abram

Dear Abram,

Today you turn 7 years old. I would like to say I am as excited as you are that you are growing. You talked to me just yesterday about how happy you are. I told you that I wanted you to stay little and you looked at me like I was insane! I wish you knew how much I desire to have the power to turn back time. I would go back to the very day you were born.

Wednesday

Maybelline Better Skin Powder

I received this product complimentary from Influenster for testing purposes. All opinions are my own.

A few weeks ago I received the Maybelline Better Skin Powder from Influenster. I was really nervous to try it out being as my skin has bad reactions to change in the past. I still went ahead and gave it a good shot. Seriously, I am so glad I did! I can't even tell you how much I fully love this product.

Friday

Zoo Day

Last Saturday we took a drive up north. I really love taking little road trips. Before the kids were born Luis and I would just get ready and take off spontaneously. With children you have to make plans, pack bags, strollers, extra food and water, the list goes on. I have learned, over time, that planning ahead really helps our family and myself not to lose our heads.

So you're a Clubfoot mom / Eres mama de niño con pie equino varo

Yesterday I had the pleasure of finally meeting a local clubfoot mom! I have to confess the moments leading up to the meeting I felt so nervous. I was finally getting to meet a woman who shared a similar clubfoot journey with her babies. I actually felt like crying the minute I saw her, but I held it together somehow.

Tuesday

5 things I learned from my Mother / 5 cosas que aprendí de mi Madre

My mother and I have not always seen eye to eye. In fact growing up I was a giant "daddy's girl". I always felt he understood me a bit more than my mom did. As an adult I realized it was that way because my mother and I are a lot alike. I thought (like many children do) some day it would pain me to admit it, but now it actually makes me proud. I am my mother's daughter.

Friday

Gracefully Accepting Clubfoot / Aceptando El Pie Equinovaro Con Gracia

If you have been following my blog for a while you know I am crazy about this Gracefully book by my fellow clubfoot mom Angela Erin Williams. We have read it endlessly to Josiah! I have even read it to myself on days when I feel I need a little pick me up.

Thursday

Changes

I am so excited for the changes coming to the blog. I have wanted to take this leap for quite some time now and I finally feel like the time has come to do it.

Tuesday

Bathtime with Johnson's

Bathtime with my babies is such an important part of the day. Not only do we get all the dirt and food of their cute little hands and feet, but it's a time of relaxation and love. This is the time of day where I make funny faces to get them to laugh or make up songs about the part of their body I am scrubbing, they tend to find that funny.

Thursday

Palette Love

In the last month I have gone a little palette crazy. I used my birthday money to buy one. I sold some stuff online to buy another and the other was a birthday gift from my sweetie. To put it lightly I'm a bit palette obsessed. But in all honesty look at these beauties! Who wouldn't be?

Friday

Fab Five for Friday

I am a die hard music freak! Whatever mood I am in, I need music to accompany it. So today I am bringing you my absolute favorite pick me up songs!

Thursday

Best Lesson of my 20s

Two weeks ago I turned 30. In the months leading up to my birthday I felt overwhelmed thinking I hadn't accomplished some of my goals. I didn't look the way I hoped. I didn't have all my ducks in a row. I just wasn't where I hoped to be. Then I realized it didn't really matter. (I shared my realization reasonings here.)
I am grateful for my 20's. I learned so much! I became a mother and a wife. I made amazing friends and memories. I feel very blessed for those years.

Tuesday

Bathing A Clubfoot Baby

When Josiah was in casts people used to ask me how I bathed him. As I looked through my pictures a few days ago I realized Luis had taken some shots of a bath back then! I got so happy thinking  I could finally share exactly how I bathed him.

Friday

Hello Summer

It is so easy to get caught up with life and all its occurrences and completely forget that I have a blog! I am so sorry for my absence the past 2 weeks, but I have been so busy having a fun summer. And since I haven't had a post where I give you details about us in a while, today I will do just that.

Tony Spineto

At the first annual World Clubfoot Day celebration we had in California this year, I had the pleasure of meeting Tony Spineto. I had come across his name a few times when researching clubfoot and knew he was an athlete. What I did not know was how inspiring he was! I normally don't rave about something or someone on my blog unless I am really impressed. I can honestly say Tony amazes me. This man has more medals than my eyes could handle! I was not born with clubfoot and I could not do half the things this man does.

Tuesday

Bedtime

People who know me personally know I put my kids to bed at 7pm every night, at the latest 7:30. While most people may think this is a bit early, yes there is still daylight outside, I have to do it. I don't budge!

Reasons you ask?

Friday

Our First World Clubfoot Day

Today is a very special day in the Clubfoot community. It is World Clubfoot Day!
If you are new to the blog, let me begin by saying I have a child who was born with Clubfoot.

Clubfoot: A deformity in the foot/feet (present at birth) in which the foot is turned inward starting from the ankle. Aside from the feet being affected the tendons on the inside of the legs are shortened and the achilles tendon is tightened. This deformity affects 1 in every 1,000 babies. 200,000 newborns a year in various countries.

Wednesday

30 on 30

It's June 1st! I usually love new months. I always say with a new month comes new opportunity! This month is a little different...... I turn 30 on the 30th....

Sunday

Origins Only

Around Christmas time I ran out of my old moisturizer and the Sephora I happen to stop at did not have a large one in stock. Although I was distraught I figured with all the gift sets they had at the time I was bound to find a good deal on something different to try.

I had been using Origins Night A Mins for a while and I loved it! I saw a set that included that, my favorite eye cream, an anti aging serum and the GinZing moisturizer. I immediately hopped on that one being as I already used 2 of the 4 products in the box.

Are You Giving Advice or Mom Shaming?

We all have that person we can talk to about anything and everything. That one you call when you have a little drama or just need to vent with. We call those people our friends, besties, or better yet family. We trust those "besties" to keep our secrets, lend an ear, cry with us, and grovel in our self pity- if need be. We know this person will always be there for us and we count on them for it. Especially when becoming a mother!

You don't know why your baby has been crying for 4 hours, so you call this person for answers. You can't remember how the recipe for playdough goes, so you call this person to check if it's tartar sauce or cream of tartar. You're mad at your husband for not putting the seat down for the hundredth time so you call this person to vent on how you fell in! They are always willing to give advice, talk you off the ledge, and make sense out of the situation for you. But what happens when their "advice" feels more like mom shaming?

The Liebster Award

I am so honored and humbled to be nominated for the Liebster Award by Kristen, writer at The Mothershop!
The Liebster Award was developed in 2011 to recognize bloggers by other bloggers. An award that praises the hard work and dedication that bloggers do.  It may seem easy to the reader, the job a blogger does, but other bloggers know the countless hours it takes to bring together a blog idea and get all the thoughts in the right order. To those blogs we bloggers say Thank you and we see your hard work.

Why I limit Electronic Usage

Everyone who knows me personally, knows that I have always been against electronics for my kids. I just think they are too young to have their eyes stuck to a screen. They should be playing outside, running around, using their imaginations. However, for Christmas Amazon was selling Kindles for $35, so the hubby and I jumped on the deal for the kids. They were a big hit on Christmas morning. I couldn't help but give in and want to be the cool mom for once. This day in age almost everyone has some sort of electronic gadget. It's very rare when I meet someone who doesn't have a smartphone or tablet. They thought they were the coolest kids with their hip new gadgets!

Friday

Pain Like No Other

This afternoon as the garage door slammed with my fingers between it, the pain I felt made tears go down my face. I let out a loud sigh and then just burst into tears completely. I thought to myself, " Why do garage doors have to be so darn heavy!" The pain I felt seemed unbearable, I'm not even exaggerating,  I felt like my fingers just might fall off.

Everyday Shadow Palettes For Spring

This is not an affiliated post. My opinions are my own.

Spring time is such a beautiful time of year, so why not look beautiful too?! Today I am sharing my favorite eyeshadow palettes for Spring that can be used on a daily basis without looking super made up or dramatic.
