Some First Steps

As I sat there watching Josiah play I couldn't help but smile. His little face bring so much joy into my heart. Yet in the back of my mind I wonder if he's okay. Are his feet fully corrected? Why do I feel like something is not right? Every clubfoot check up they say his feet look great and his dorsiflexion is on point, but then why is he still not walking? I shrugged off this question for months because their answer was always something along the lines of, "He needs more time. He will do it when he is ready. Some kids just develop a little later." Finally at his 18 month check-up I insisted that his pediatrician refer him to a developmental therapist.

Wednesday

Happy New Year!

Hi everyone I'm back! I hope you all had a wonderful holiday season. I know it's been quite sometime since my last post. I truly am sorry. I just really felt the need to take a break from the blog and social media to just enjoy my family and loved ones. Sometimes I need to unplug and appreciate the little things. I rarely took out my camera, which I have to admit I later kicked myself for, but we did make beautiful memories. Luckily my husband managed to take a few snaps here and there.

Best Lesson of my 20s

Two weeks ago I turned 30. In the months leading up to my birthday I felt overwhelmed thinking I hadn't accomplished some of my goals. I didn't look the way I hoped. I didn't have all my ducks in a row. I just wasn't where I hoped to be. Then I realized it didn't really matter. (I shared my realization reasonings here.)
I am grateful for my 20's. I learned so much! I became a mother and a wife. I made amazing friends and memories. I feel very blessed for those years.

Wednesday

30 on 30

It's June 1st! I usually love new months. I always say with a new month comes new opportunity! This month is a little different...... I turn 30 on the 30th....

Friday

You Are Only Human

Happy Friday! I feel like I should apologize to my avid readers because I have not written a post since last Friday. In my defence I had a bit of a rough week.

Josiah had been having a hard time sleeping at night and was being very fussy throughout the day. Well turns out little guy has a 2nd tooth breaking in! Yay! On Wednesday he turned 9 months and I still cannot believe how quickly time flies. I can still remember his first few days at home and how beautiful he smelled. I loved just holding him and rubbing his cute little crooked feet. Now he only likes being held when he wants to go to sleep, the rest of the day he is all over the house doing the army crawl. One of these days I will take a video and upload it for you to see what a crazy baby I have on my hands. He has become such a handful, even his brothers rat him out to me! Haha. Ahh the life of a boy mom, chaotic yet oh so rewarding!
