Every Wednesday we head over to our local farmer's market to get the best and freshest produce in town. I can not be without fruits and veggies at home and neither can the boys. Eli always looks forward to going because the venders let him try free samples of fruit! I have been going since I was pregnant with Eli, and the vendors have always been the same people, so we have built a relationship already. If I don't go for-whatever reason one week- the following week they are interrogating me as to where I was and why I didn't show up! Haha. They are all awesome people. I really love going. For a few weeks my normal "carrot lady" didn't have carrots and I was going nuts! I had to buy other carrots and they just did not taste the same. I guess my palate has grown accustomed to the best carrots EVER!
Ever since we went back on our Paleo way, we literally finish all the veggies before we even get to the following Wednesday, so this week we got a little extra. I normally buy broccoli, carrots, bok choy, lettuce, tomato, zucchini, bell peppers, onion, kale, cilantro, strawberries, oh and my favorite green beans!!! They have so much other produce as well, but those are my must haves!
It is so important for your body and health to have fruits and veggies- not to mention the wonders it does on the skin! If you have a local farmer's market I suggest giving them a try. I find their prices so reasonable and their flavors so rich! Now, when I am for some odd reason forced to buy store bought produce, I can totally taste the difference. It's a lot more bland and I can tell it has been previously frozen. I am really happy supporting our local farmers and all their hard work, it really does pay off.
Thanks for stopping by and don't forget to eat your veggies :)
